Narrowing the roster to a shortlist
The roster covers 18 topics. Filtering by topic gets you to a handful. These are the questions that get you to two.
Start from the outcome, not the topic
A sales kickoff that needs energy and a leadership summit that needs depth both file under "leadership" and want completely different people. Name the change you want in the room first, then filter.
Match the format to the room
A 45-minute keynote, a fireside seat, and a panel chair are different skills, and the same person is not always strong at all of them. Filter for the format you are actually booking.
Decide how much recognition you are buying
A name your audience already knows drives registrations before the event. A practitioner they have not heard of often works better once everyone is in the room. Both are valid; they are different budgets.
Send two or three names, not one
Dates move quickly in the January-to-March and September-to-November windows. A shortlist means a second option is already vetted when your first choice is booked.
Questions about booking from this roster
How many speakers should I shortlist?
Two or three. Out of a 14-speaker roster, a single name means starting over when the date is gone, and a list of 8 means nobody on your side can decide. The shortlist we send back within 24 hours is two or three for that reason.
Can you find a speaker who is not on this roster?
Yes. The roster is who we work with most closely, not the limit of what we can book. Tell us the outcome you want and we will source against it, including speakers represented elsewhere.
Do you represent these speakers exclusively?
Five of the fourteen are exclusive to Silicon Valley Speakers. We work with the other nine directly and handle contracting, travel, and logistics either way, so the process on your side is identical.
Can I see fees before I inquire?
Five speakers publish a starting fee on their page. For the rest the fee depends on format, travel, and date, so we quote it with the shortlist rather than posting a range that turns out to be wrong for your event.
How quickly will I hear back?
Within 24 hours, with names and real fee ranges rather than a request for a call first.
Don't see what you need?
We have access to a network of speakers beyond our featured roster. Tell us your date, your audience, and what you want them to walk out believing, and we'll come back within 24 hours with two or three names and real fee ranges.
